$12.99 This Christmas science skills activity bundle lets kids have FUN for Christmas while reinforcing science skills that students need to practice all year long! Use the theme of the holiday (all non-religious) to review graphing skills, practice making claims from evidence in data, and experimental design.
Note: These activities do NOT reference anything religious and do not even use the word “Christmas”. They can 100% be used in public schools with diverse students.
There are THREE activities included, each reviewing a different science skill:
1. Christmas Graphing Practice: Practice simple graphing skills! Students are given winter-related data and use it to create 2 line graphs, 2 bar graphs, and 2 pie charts. Graph topics include:
2. Christmas Scientific Method Review: Two worksheets included! Students review “If…Then” hypotheses, identify independent and dependent variables, and practice experimental design – all with fun holiday themes.
3. Christmas CER & Data Analysis Practice: Get kids looking at holiday-related data to practice both data analysis and making claims from evidence. Students will read a brief passage about a real-world science scenario, analyze a simple data table, and make a CLAIM based on EVIDENCE. Students do not have to make a claim “out of nowhere.” They are asked a pointed question that they answer in the CER format. This covers science-based holiday themes such as:
