There are THREE activities included, each reviewing a different science skill:

2. Thanksgiving Scientific Method Review: Students review “If…Then” hypotheses, identify independent and dependent variables, and practice experimental design – all with fun tidbits of real Thanksgiving trivia mixed in.
3. Thanksgiving CER & Data Analysis Practice: Get kids looking at Thanksgiving data to practice both data analysis and making claims from evidence. Students will read a brief passage about a real-world science scenario, analyze a simple data table, and make a CLAIM based on EVIDENCE. Students do not have to make a claim “out of nowhere.” They are asked a pointed question that they answer in the CER format. This covers science-based Thanksgiving themes such as:
