This science CER reading introduces students to writing a science CER and answering questions in the claims evidence and reasoning format.
In this activity, students will:
- READ an article that breaks down each part of a CER and gives simple examples to follow along with.
- ANSWER text-dependent questions and define key terms.
- PRACTICE CER WRITING by using simple data to answer 3 questions in the CER format. The science is intentionally simple to keep the focus on how to write a CER.
