Get kids THINKING! This is more than a “definition style” ecosystem exam! There are diagrams to analyze, and the questions mimic how standardized tests generally ask about this topic. This middle school-level test includes 33 multiple choice questions, many of which include simple pictures, diagrams, data, and graphs to interpret. All questions, graphs, data, etc. are at the appropriate level for a heterogeneous class of middle school students.
Topics Covered:
- Ecosystems (biotic and abiotic factors, etc.)
- Interactions between organisms (competition, symbiosis, etc.)
- Energy in ecosystems (producer, consumer, etc.)
- Food chains (food chains, energy pyramid, etc.)
- Populations (limiting factors, carrying capacity, etc.)
- Changes in populations (changes in resources)
- Succession (primary and secondary)
- Biodiversity
- Human impact on ecosystems
Less copies and easy to correct – save time with our test packet format! The test is 6 pages long (3 front/back) with an additional 1-sided answer sheet. You only have to make one class set of test question packets and then reuse them from class to class, as it is only necessary for the students to write on their answer sheet.
NGSS Standards Addressed: MS-LS2-1, MS-LS2-2, MS-LS2-3, MS-LS2-4
