Each storm type includes a real-life example for the kids to make a connection to. For example, when students read about blizzards, they’ll learn that the worst blizzard on record hit Iran in 1972. It dropped almost 10 feet of snow! (3-page reading)
- COMPLETE a grid summarizing the storm types. (1 page)
- ANSWER text-dependent questions. No period knowledge is required – all the information in the questions can be found in the text. (2 pages)
