These 3 activities are NO PREP – just copies! Use the Periodic Table as a “decoder” for sports-themed words! Use element atomic numbers and symbols to decode:
- 34 words and phrases associated with football, such as kickoff, ref, offense, etc. plus some team names
- 26 total words or phrases associated with baseball such as strike out, pitcher, home plate, etc.
- 21 words and phrases associated with basketball, such as shoot hoops, swish, slam dunk, etc. and also find the answers to some silly basketball jokes
No prior knowledge of the periodic table is necessary – simply point out the atomic number and symbol, and you’re good to go!
Each activity includes both print and Google Slides options to assign!
