Plate Tectonics Project

Kids LOVE this plate tectonics project because they can choose from a variety of ways to show what they have learned about plate tectonics. Many options are listed, from art projects and models to videos and presentations (and more!).

Students are given the concepts that must be included in their project, including topics in the following categories:

  • Plate boundary types
  • Crust types
  • Landforms
  • Other important items

Each item that must be covered is assigned a certain number of points. How they choose to demonstrate their knowledge is up to them, but the guidelines are clear.
