Earth Day Game for Middle or High School

Get kids THINKING! This Earth Day Game promotes lively discussions and critical thinking about human impact on the environment using the engaging “Two Truths and a Lie” format.

How It Works:

  • Students read (in pairs or groups) a “Two Truths and a Lie” card that has 2 true facts about one aspect of human impact on the environment and one lie or misinformation. (52 total cards are provided.) Each statement seems true, so it’s a challenge to find the lie!
  • Students discuss which choice from the card they believe is the lie.
  • Then, they turn the card over to discover the lie and learn more about the truth. Follow-up information is given about each statement, so each card teaches students about one aspect of human impact on the environment.

This activity leads to very vibrant discussions about human impact on the environment!
