• Earth Day Reading and Questions: Students read an article about Earth Day and the biggest issues facing Earth (habitat destruction, ocean health, climate change, pollution, and loss of biodiversity) and then answer reading comprehension questions. (Includes both print and Google Slides versions.)
• Earth Day WebQuest: This is a multi-part WebQuest that focuses on all the different ways humans affect our Earth – from pollution to habitat destruction to climate change. Students will visit the websites provided to answer questions. (Includes both print and Google Slides versions.)
• Earth Day “Two Truths and a Lie” Game: SO FUN! Students read (in pairs or groups) a “Two Truths and a Lie” card that has two true facts about one aspect of human impact on the environment and one lie or misinformation. (52 total cards are provided.) Each statement seems true, so it’s a challenge to find the lie! Students discuss which choice from the card they believe is the lie, then turn the card over to discover the lie and learn more about the truth. 52 easy-to-print cards are included. Simply make one class set of the game cards and reuse class-to-class and year-to-year.
• Earth Day Action Checklist: Get a simple checklist of age-appropriate actions students can take to help the Earth. These are tips students can actually do themselves.
