Asexual Reproduction Activity: Cloning Article and Questions

Grades 7 and Up

Use this cloning article to introduce students to the pros and cons of CLONING, a technology that could change the way humans influence the inheritance of traits – supports NGSS standards MS-LS3-2 and MS-LS4-5.

This activity pairs well with our Genetic Engineering Reading & Questions.

In this activity, students will:

  • Read an informational text about the basics of cloning
  • Learn about the arguments FOR and AGAINST cloning humans
  • Answer several text-dependent reading comprehension questions
  • Formulate a paragraph stating if they are FOR or AGAINST human cloning using details from the text
