Asexual and Sexual Reproduction Test

Get kids THINKING! This is more than a “definition style” asexual and sexual reproduction test! There are simple diagrams and pictures to analyze, and the questions mimic how middle school NGSS-based standardized tests generally ask about this topic. This test directly reflects the NGSS MS-LS3-2 standard. It includes 22 multiple-choice questions and 2 open responses.

Topics Covered:

  • Basic features of sexual and asexual reproduction (number of parents, genetic variety in offspring)
  • Common examples
  • Fertilization, gametes (egg and sperm), and that gametes each contribute half the DNA to the offspring

Less copies and easier to correct – save time with our test packet format! The test is 4 pages (2 pages front/back), and then there is a front/back answer sheet. You can make one class set of copies of the test, and then reuse these test packets for each class because students record all of their answers on the answer sheet.
