Using a Tide Chart Worksheet

In this tide chart worksheet, students are provided a tide chart for one month and are asked analysis questions on a corresponding worksheet. This allows students to practice reading a tide chart to obtain the following types of information:

  • How many high and low tides a day are there?
  • When is the tide rising? Falling?
  • What is the tidal range?
  • How many hours between tides?
  • When are the “extreme” tides (spring/neap)?
