Reflect the intended rigor of NGSS with this 10 questions multiple choice quiz covering the Law of Conservation of Mass (AKA Conservation of Matter), which we cover at the same time we cover physical and chemical changes. This quiz is specifically written to address NGSS MS-PS1-5. It includes simple diagrams to analyze and the questions mimic how state standardized tests ask about this topic.

Two similar versions are provided. The versions look exactly alike and have the same questions, but a different order of the correct answers. So, wandering eyes will see a quiz that looks like their own but will get the answer wrong if they copy a neighbors paper.

Amazing, high-quality, real-world applications. I love the station set up to get students moving around and collaborating with each other.
