This resource includes three titles:
- What is Genetics? (reading & worksheet): Define genetics and understand that genes contain instructions for everything inside a living thing. Learn that alleles are different versions of genes and that every organism inherits two alleles for each trait, one from each parent.
- The Language of Genetics (reading & worksheet): Get familiar with key genetics vocabulary, such as dominant vs. recessive, homozygous vs. heterozygous, and genotype vs. phenotype.
- Punnett Squares (reading & worksheet): Learn that Punnett squares are a tool used to predict genetic crosses and how to use them.
