In this cladograms activity, students analyze diagrams to determine evolutionary relationships. then, they’ll make their own from given data.
- Parts One and Two: Students are familiarized with reading cladograms. Two different cladogram diagrams of animal evolutionary trees are provided, and students evaluate the diagrams to answer questions about evolutionary relationships between organisms.
- Part Three: Students use provided data to add information to a given cladogram.
- Part Four: Students generate a cladogram by analyzing a data chart about animal features.
