Weather Test

This middle school-level weather test includes 30 multiple choice questions, some of which include simple pictures, diagrams, and data to interpret. There are also 3 straightforward open response questions.

This test is designed to assess understanding of the “big picture” ideas outlined in NGSS standards MS-ESS2-5 and MS-ESS2-6. Topics covered include:

  • Reading a weather map
  • Cold/warm fronts
  • Air pressure
  • Weather associated with different fronts/pressure systems
  • Basics of convection/wind
  • Basics of climate vs. weather

Less copies and easy to correct – save time with our test packet format! The test is 5 pages long with an additional 2-sided student answer sheet. You only have to make one class set of test question packets and then reuse them class to class, as it is only necessary for the students to write on their answer sheet.
