⭐ Get these worksheets at a HUGE DISCOUNT in my GENETICS UNIT! ⭐

This worksheet provides simple monohybrid cross Punnett square practice, but with more interesting examples than are usually used. Each page starts with a brief explanation of three traits of an organism, and then gives kids 4 crosses to complete. There are 40 total Punnett squares to do.

For each question, students will:

  • Complete a Punnett square.
  • Give the genotypic ratio of the offspring.
  • Give the phenotypic ratio of the offspring.

Each page of the worksheet is self-contained, so you can assign all 10 pages OR pick and choose the organisms you want to assign. Makes great stations!

And there are three versions provided for easy differentiation!

  • Version 1 has students set up and fill in the Punnett squares themselves. (10 pages)
  • Version 2 has the sides of the Punnett squares already filled in, and students must complete the boxes. (10 pages)
  • Version 3 (easiest) as the Punnett squares are fully completed, and the students answer questions based on the fully completed squares. (10 pages)

The organisms included are (3 traits each):

  1. Red-Eyed Tree Frogs
  2. Fly Agaric Mushrooms
  3. Venus Flytraps
  4. Rabbits
  5. Quokkas
  6. Donkeys
