No Prep Fossils Activity

In this fun and NO PREP fossils activity, students learn more about important fossils in each era of Earth’s history and then use their knowledge of the law of superposition to place fossils in their relative positions in Earth’s history.

  • READ simple facts about 20 different fossils that are representative of their era.
  • ANSWER simple questions about the fossils.
  • CUT AND PASTE each fossil into their proper layer of Earth based on their age.
  • Answer follow-up questions by making CLAIMS BASED ON EVIDENCE from the activity.
