Elements Activity: Mystery Elements Article and Worksheet

• IDENTIFY each included element from clues within the text.
• ANSWER analysis questions using information in the text and by pulling additional information from a periodic table.

Other elements may be interesting, but I have a superpower. I save millions of lives! I am a major component in a large class of drugs called antibiotics – medicines that kill dangerous bacteria that cause serious infections. Before the discovery of these medicines in the 1930’s, millions of people died from infection. Here’s a clue to my identity – the class of drugs I belong to are called sulfa-drugs. My symbol is S.
