Gravity and Inertia Demo

This gravity and inertia demo helps the lightbulbs go off when explaining why planets stay in their orbits!

It’s a simple yet highly effective way to show NGSS MS-ESS1-2: Develop and use a model to describe the role of gravity in the motions of objects within galaxies and the solar system.

Easy Supply List:

• Wiffle ball, pickle ball, or similar lightweight ball with holes (one per group or demonstration)
• String or twine, approximately 2-3 feet long
