By plotting the temperature and magnitude data for several stars, students will create a Hertzsprung-Russell diagram! This stars activity is the best way to have students truly understand how an H-R diagram really works!
In this activity, students will:
- READ a brief background information section.
- GRAPH the surface temperature and magnitude of several stars on a pre-made, pre-labeled graph. This will create a Hertzsprung-Russell diagram.
- ANSWER follow-up questions, including two CER questions.
