- CLADOGRAM READING: Includes a 2-page reading designed to introduce students to reading cladograms and phylogenetic trees. Also includes a brief follow-up worksheet.
- WORKSHEET #1: Practice reading cladograms. Includes 4 different cladogram diagrams of different evolutionary trees. Students evaluate the diagrams to answer questions about evolutionary relationships between certain organisms.
- WORKSHEET #2: Start making simple cladograms. In part one, students have more practice reading cladograms. In part two, students use provided data to add information to a given cladogram. In part three, students generate a simple cladogram on their own by analyzing a data chart about animal features.
- BUILD A PRIMATE CLADOGRAM: Students learn about traits of primates and use them to build a simple cladogram to show their evolutionary relationships.
